Who hasn’t had a mobile user complain about email issues? It’s a common occurrence, but it isn’t a simple one to fix. Email delivery on mobile devices relies on multiple layers of infrastructure, often combined with cloud services like Office 365. This can make the mean time to repair such complaints long and frustrating for the end-user.

The Cloud is everywhere, in every company in different formats, private, hybrid or public. The Cloud is a shiny option to consider but companies must be prepared in order to maintain the visibility and the control that you originally had on the applications when they were hosted on-premise.
The rapid growth of the cloud market is leading to the emergence of new services, new ways for services provisioning and new interaction models both amongst cloud providers and service ecosystems using cloud resources.
So let’s see how GSX helps you get the most out of SCOM by helping you with the limitations we discussed last week...

Domino 9 has been a long time coming since it’s original inception along with Lotus Notes. General availability will be offered in a few weeks. The level of completion and capability on Domino 9 is truly amazing. It will offer a set of new features that takes a company to the next level with more social tools within the messaging environment. This IBM blog discusses the initial feedback from the Notes and Domino Social Edition beta released in December 2012, and invites you to join them for the March 13, 2013 special worldwide broadcast.

Last week I posted an article that dealt with the merits of various monitoring and reporting options. This week I’d like to discuss another concern we have as messaging administrators, the cloud. Over the last few years or so the cloud has meant a number of things to IT professionals, for most a headache, for some a pink slip and for others an opportunity. There have been quite a few twists and turn in its evolution, mostly precipitated on what the market wants but also on what the vendors are trying to capitalize on. In the messaging and collaboration space we’ve been tormented, I mean blessed, with Exchange Online, BPOS and now Office 365. Add in virtualization and its evolution, now we have the “private cloud”. So what does it all mean? Where’s it going? And how do we manage it?
