SharePoint Saturday Chicago Suburb in Addison Illinois was well worth the trip. The event took place at the renowned DeVry University and lived up to the hype. Not only was it a well-run event but the sponsors and the guest speakers were very informative. SPS Chicago Suburbs committee where Sogeti USA, a partner of GSX, was heavily involved in organizing an amazing event that benefited all the participants.
GSX went home with the 2014 Distinguished Sponsor Award in recognition of their contribution and total commitment to the SharePoint community. The feedback GSX got from the attendees was best booth, demo and explanation of the product. The event started off with a sponsor dinner at Dave and Busters located right next to DeVry University. Following the dinner all the sponsors were entertained by receiving unlimited video game pass’s for their gaming enjoyment. I must say no matter how old you get arcade games are always a good time.

After the last session had ended GSX raffled off $200 in Visa gift cards. The lucky attendees who won the prize was Arron Hurt from Covantage Credit Union and Susan Eyres who is a SharePoint Designer.
All in all the event was a huge success. GSX not only had the opportunity to be welcomed into the Chicago SharePoint community but was able to educate all attendees on the importance of performance monitoring.
