In a couple of weeks we’ll be attending SharePoint Conference 2012 in Las Vegas and we’re thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to speak with all of the administrators, developers and IT managers attending the conference. Many things have changed within SharePoint over the last eleven years and I’m sure that the conference is going to provide insight into the next evolution, SharePoint 15. The public beta was released this past July so we’ve had a chance to get some hands on experience with the product and from my perspective the new features and functionality are a welcome addition. It’ll be interesting to attend the sessions and get Microsoft’s take as well as some additional technical background.
Last year we attended the SharePoint conference in Anaheim which marked the 10th anniversary of the product. It was a great event which hosted over 800 attendees and a number of exhibitors and sponsors, including GSX. A lot has changed for us in the last year; we received great feedback from attendees and have continued to develop our product based on what’s’ important to the people who use it.
Along the way we’ve learned quite a bit. It’s our belief that your product is only as good as the hands on experiences that go into each and every feature. Therefore it’s your experience that makes it better and our goal is to deliver a solution that meets and exceeds your needs. In order to do that, we’ve placed a great deal of focus on community and getting that feedback from our customers and partners. At this conference, we’re hoping to continue the conversation and build on the progress we’ve made, delivering a high quality product for monitoring and reporting on your SharePoint environment.
If you’re attending I invite you to stop by, say hi at booth #264 and let us know what you think. Take a moment to talk with our developers, let them know what you’ve been looking for in a SharePoint monitoring and reporting product, and tell what your challenges are.
We’ve decided to send a number of people to the conference year. As you would expect, we have people from our global sales and marketing team, however we are also sending a number of representatives from both our technical services team and also our development team. If you’d like to just stop by and talk tech as well, we are here for you.
Overall it looks like it’s going to be another great event filled with great sessions, hands-on labs and great opportunities to speak with sponsors and exhibitors.
Additionally there’s the welcome reception, the Club SPC evening party, and also an "Ask the Experts" session Wednesday night. Stop by when you have a minute or two, we’d love to hear from you.
