Health, Dental & Vision Plans

All full-time and some part-time employees are eligible to participate in MSA’s health, dental and vision plans. Coverage begins on the first of the month after one full month of employment. MSA pays a substantial portion of employee premiums as well as contributing towards dependent coverage.

Profit Sharing & Savings Plan

MSA maintains a qualified plan for the purpose of providing retirement benefits to participants. The three major components of this program are:
401(k) Savings Plan
Eligible employees may contribute a portion of their pre-tax pay into their account. They may also qualify for MSA matching funds. They are eligible to participate on their first day of employment.

Employer Profit Contributions
MSA’s Board of Directors has consistently designated a significant share of current profits to the employees’ profit sharing plan.

Employee Voluntary Savings
Employees may make voluntary after-tax deposits into the Voluntary Savings plan for personal savings.
Flexible Benefits Plan

All full-time and part-time employees who average at least 30 hours per week are eligible for MSA's flexible benefits plan. This qualified, Section 125 plan allows eligible employees to pay for health, dental and vision insurance premiums with TAX FREE income. Other health and dependent care costs may also qualify.

Life & Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance

All full-time employees are eligible. Coverage begins on the first of the month after two full months of employment. The policy benefit is equivalent to the employee's annual earnings rounded up to the next $1,000 up to a maximum $50,000. This insurance is paid entirely by MSA. An option is available to purchase additional insurance.

Disability Income Plan

All full-time employees are eligible for both short and long-term disability insurance. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following two full months of employment.

This plan pays 60% of employees’ base monthly wages up to a maximum of $10,000/month. MSA pays 2/3 of the monthly premium.
