It's All About the Cloud at TechEd Australia 2013

Posted by Victorien Dangoumeau on Wed, Sep 04, 2013

I have attended many TechEd conferences all over Europe, but I'm really excited because this is my first time attending Microsoft TechEd Australia!

There aren't many places that would be better to attend a TechEd event...The Gold Coast is really an idyllic part of Australia. Who wouldn't love being by the ocean with warm temperatures even during the winter?

TechEd Australia 2013 is taking place at the Jupiter Hotel near Surfers Paradise. It's been pretty crowded so far, about 3,000 attendees are here to enjoy the conference.

We are here with our Partner, Primaxis. Steve Hooper, the CEO of Primaxis, is joining us for the week to talk to attendees about our solutions. Primaxis offers services for Microsoft and IBM software technologies, including migrations between MS Outlook and Lotus Notes, eForms, etc.

The GSX team really enjoyed the opening session and, as always, our booth has been packed. From discussions with our friends at Microsoft to spending time with attendees, our ” I Wish” wall has already been filled!

People are quite creative when it comes to making wishes...There have been some funny ones like “ I wish to rule the world using SCOM to monitor it all”!

To sum up the first 2 days of the conference in 3 words, I would say “Cloud, Cloud, Cloud”. It is amazing how Microsoft has changed its own market in a really short time, most of the attendees are either considering or have already moved to 365.

We will be giving away a Drone and smartphone remote controlled helicopter so, if you are around, come to visit us at booth 39 to learn about our newest release and enter to win!

Finally, congratulations to the winner of GSX's free ticket to TechEd Australia, Jess Wightman!

Keep an eye out for more updates on our week coming soon!
