TechEd 2012

Ok everyone, I'm looking for some feedback from the community. In a few weeks I’m going to be hosting a Birds of a Feather session at TechEd North America 2012 regarding The Ever-Expanding Roles and Responsibilities of an Exchange Administrator. Up until then I am going to devote a blog article to the topic each week. I’ve had a fair amount of feedback on the topic already and have identified the following as some of the top concerns.

  • Grassroots Innovation (Introducing new technologies, OCS/Lync, SharePoint)
  • SPAM
  • The Cloud
  • Mobile Access technologies and BYOD
  • ITIL Processes
  • The evolution of Exchange, including archiving and compliance
  • Day to Day Operations, message delivery and routing, support, user experience

What has your experience been in these areas?

How have these things evolved in your organization?

What have you done to manage the increased workload making a day in the life a bit easier?

Is there anything I’ve missed?

Thanks in advance for your feedback; it looks like there’s good interest in the topic already. If you’re going to TechEd, I look forward to seeing you there.
